I work with a wide range of emotional and behavior issues providing services that span from therapy for depression and anxiety to grief counseling or parental support. Additionally, I have a special passion for working with individuals struggling with addiction issues. Even if life at work or at home is a general struggle for a variety of reasons, we can work on those areas of your life as well with a combination of therapy and various assessment tools to increase your confidence and understanding. I enjoy working with clients in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere. I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my client’s individual needs. No two client’s story is the same, and I would take great pride in working with you to understand your story and your desires for change. Abby Janssen, MSW, LCSW
Areas of Interest Abby works individually with adults and seniors on issues related to trauma, addiction, and major life changes, such as divorce and grief. She has a strong interest in how childhood trauma can affect health and well-being later in life. Abby is an EMDR Approved Consultant through EMDRIA and a Facilitator through the EMDR Institute, Inc. She is also trained in Brainspotting through Brainspotting International. She works to provide a strength-based approach that collaboratively works with the client’s goals and values. Education Masters in Social Work, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee; additional coursework in substance abuse and trauma. Bachelors Degree in Professional Communication, Alverno College, Milwaukee. Experience Clinical experience in outpatient settings providing treatment for mental health, substance abuse, and dual-diagnosis clients. Additional experience providing in-home therapy, treatment in an assisted living setting and working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Abby has also served as an adjunct instructor in the Social Work department at Alverno College, Milwaukee. Presented to groups on grief and loss, older adult anxiety and depression, transitioning into long-term care, and AODA issues. *Note: Ms. Janssen treats patients age 18 & older.
anna Kitowicz, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Areas of Interest Provides assessment, psychoeducation and pharmacological management to adolescents and adults seeking psychiatric services. Areas of interest include mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and chronic mental illness. Philosophy My focus is to support clients as they achieve their goals for recovery. I believe in creating a plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration, and evidenced-based practice. My goal is to provide effective and sustainable mental health interventions that may include medication, education, mindfulness, symptom management skills, and self-care. I am committed to providing a welcoming, trauma informed, and stigma free environment. Emily Klos, MSW, APSW
Areas of Interest Assessment and treatment for individuals ages 7 and older who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD and chronic health conditions including infertility. Uses a solution-focused, client-centered and strengths-based approach. Utilizes various treatment techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, psychoeducation, and solution-focused therapy. Jenna Koch, MS, LPC
Areas of Interest I provide assessment and treatment of individuals 8 years and older, as well as couples. I use a strengths based and eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from CBT, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I enjoy working from a faith based Christian perspective. Focus areas include anxiety, women’s identity and self-esteem work, life stress and adjustment issues, grief and loss, boundaries/interpersonal issues. Prepare/Enrich certified for premarital and married couples. Philosophy I have an authentic spirit and deeply value relationships. I seek to create a safe space where you feel known, understood, and valued. It is my goal that this environment encourages healing, hope, and meaningful life change for you. My general approach is to build trust and empower you to understand yourself more fully and live more freely. This involves examining issues, relationships, uncovering patterns that are tripping you up and over time, offering insight and practical strategies to help fuel positive change and growth. Previous experience counseling individuals in an inpatient recovery program and with children in a school setting. Personal I enjoy spending time gardening and outside in nature, especially weekends up north at the cabin with family and friends. Rajesh Kumar, MD
Board Certified Psychiatrist, Medical Director-ACS Areas of Interest Dr. Kumar has been treating patients of all ages in Washington County since he started his practice. He enjoys working with families and emphasizes out-patient care to prevent expensive hospitalizations. He likes collaborative work with mental health therapists and family physicians in our community. Dr. Kumar has expertise in hard to treat mood, anxiety disorders and attention deficit disorders. He also provides treatment for substance dependence such as alcohol and opiate dependence. David McMahon, DO Board Certified Psychiatrist
Areas of Interest Dr. McMahon has professional interests in managing difficult to treat depressive, bipolar, anxiety, and psychotic disorders in adult and geriatric patients. He uses a collaborative approach to develop a treatment plan tailored to the patient’s needs, which includes not only medications, but also psychotherapy and other interventions as appropriate. Training Iowa State University- Bachelors in Biochemistry and Masters in Biomedical Engineering Des Moines University- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine University of Kansas, Wichita- Psychiatry Residency Experience Dr. McMahon practiced for approximately 6 years at Bellin Psychiatric Center in Green Bay, primarily in the outpatient clinic and performing ECT. He then practiced for 3 years at ProHealth in Waukesha, again primarily in the outpatient clinic, but performing both ECT and TMS. He has been with ACS ever since.
Jessica Murphy, AGACNP, APNP
Areas of Interest Jessica treats patients 16 and older, providing assessment, psychoeducation, with an emphasis on pharmacological management of adolescents and adults seeking psychiatric services. Special interest include mood disorders, substance use disorder, anxiety, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Philosophy I am passionate about providing a patient centered, judgement-free, safe space to assist patients navigate through life’s changes. I believe that we work as a team to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your life goals.
