Spravato (esketamine) for Adults Struggling with Treatment-Resistant Depression
Patients suffering from Treatment-Resistant Depression often do not respond to traditional antidepressants alone. Spravato is an FDA approved treatment for adult patients suffering from Treatment-Resistant Depression and is taken in conjunction with an antidepressant. Not only is Spravato indicated for Treatment-Resistant Depression, but it's also indicated to treat patients with Major Depressive Disorder w/ Suicidal Ideation or Behaviors. At Affiliated Clinical Services it is our philosophy to help enhance the well-being of our clients by offering comprehensive, personalized and supportive treatments, this is why we have become a REMS certified Spravato treatment clinic.
What is Spravato?
Spravato is an FDA- approved nasal spray used to treat adults with treatment resistant depression which is self-administered under the supervision of your prescriber. If you are struggling with depression and have tried two or more antidepressants you may be eligible to take Spravato. Studies have proven that when Spravato is taken with an oral antidepressant adults experienced a greater reduction in depressive symptoms. After administration of Spravato patients are observed for about two hours to ensure patients are safe and that adverse side affects have been reduced.
