Areas of Interest

I believe therapy works best when it is founded in collaboration.  My approach invites clients to be active participants in this process through the creation of an environment where they can explore challenges and life experiences in a holistic and truly meaningful way.  My goal is to always provide a safe, inclusive and judgment free environment where every client feels respected, heard, and supported in sharing their feelings and experiences without fears of criticism.

I operate from an evidence-based and solution-focused approach, drawing from modalities such as EMDR, mindfulness practices, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and strengths-based strategies.  I believe clients are the experts of their own lives, and see them as capable, resourceful, and resilient.  Together, we will strive towards increasing self-awareness, identifying strengths, developing effective coping skills, and achieving personal goals.

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, anger, self-esteem, interpersonal effectiveness, grief, navigating life transitions, identity exploration, and assertiveness/self-advocacy.  My work is also grounded in multicultural awareness, and I am committed to fostering a practice that honors diversity, inclusion, and equity.  As an LGBTQIA+ advocate, I value creating affirming spaces where all clients feel seen and supported.  Above all, I strive to meet each person where they are, offering a therapeutic relationship that is collaborative, respectful, and empowering.
