Areas of Interest
Katie works with individuals across all age ranges, specializing in children and adolescents. Katie uses an integrative therapy approach, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-focused therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Areas of special interest include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and OCD.
Education
Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology- Human Services with a minor in Behavioral Neuroscience, University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point
Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a child/adolescent specialization, Marquette University
Experience
Katie has worked in outpatient counseling for individuals and groups with presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, non-suicidal self-injury, OCD, anger management, schizophrenia, child welfare, and college/career planning. Katie also has experience in early childhood education, focusing on Conscious Discipline and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
Personal Interests
Katie enjoys playing with her dog, fitness, spending time outside, camping/hiking, reading and spending time with family. She also loves the Packers!
