Tanya Wald, MS, ATR, LPC

Areas of Interest

I provide comprehensive assessment and treatment through a person-centered approach, working with individuals ages 4 through adulthood.  I enjoy supporting a wind range of clients, including children, adolescents, parents, and adults.

My clinical experience includes the use of various evidence-based and expressive therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness-based interventions.  I thoughtfully integrate these approaches based on each client’s unique needs and goals.

I work with clients presenting with concerns related to anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, women’s issues, trauma, ADHD, adjustment difficulties, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, and bipolar disorder. I also have extensive experience assessing, diagnosing and treating ADHD in children, adolescents, and adults.

Philosophy Statement

Life is a journey marked by breathtaking views and inevitable bumps along the way.  By trusting the process, staying present, and holding realistic expectations, we can fully embrace the experiences and relationships that meet us on this path.  Small positives matter just as much as major achievements, as they shape our daily sense of purpose and gratitude.  Through challenges and hardships, we learn, grow, and build resilience- discovering strength not despite adversity, but because of it.
